Help [Answered] Can Google maps navigation be ran on the watch?

When I tried the navigation option moto opened maps on my phone. Is it possible to do the navigation on the watch? That would be great to not have to take the phone out for this while I am walking around looking for directions

You need your phone for the navigation, since that's where the GPS, data, etc is located, but if you don't want to take your phone out of your pocket, instead of saying "navigate to Central Park" say "navigate to Central Park walking" and it will throw the walking directions on your phone.

Thanks for the tip . I guess I can still use the watch to launch the search but unfortunately I will still have to use the phone for this because I can zoom in & out of the map, etc. Maybe if Google or Motorola decides to update this at a later date I can use the watch

It seems close but Google has some more work to do on this. I don't think I will be able to do what I want until Google decides to offer it. One thing I did notice is that he was able to swipe to the left to get to his apps. I don't know if he's running different software or has a different watch but I can't do that on mine

Thanks. This works now. I think i had to reboot the watch to get it to work but it does work now.
