Help Any emails sent from my phone keep getting resent to my own email address.

Emails sent from my phone keep getting resent to my own email address (hotmail). They show in "sent items" but never appear in "inbox" or "junk". When I delete them (there are 10-15 every day) on the laptop, they then re-appear in sent items whenever I turn my phone on i.e. next day. How can I stop this? I have re-installed the email app.
