Apps on my SD Card are not being updated.

Updates are coming, they are being downloaded but at the end, failure notice comes. While if I move the same app to phone storage, I am successfully able to get it updated.
Please note this was not the situation when I newly bought it. It had developed sometime after. I have a huawei Ideos. Please help. Thanx

This is Huawei Ideos with Gingerbread I think. What do you mean by ROM? Does this happens with other Android phones also that the apps on SD card do not get updated while on the phone memory get updated?
