Anyone else noticed this? It's like a springy echoey feeling as opposed to the dpad, menu and answer buttons that feel quite firm by comparison?

    Is it just my phone?

They feel the same to me...

Perhaps bring it back to Samsung?

Do they feel exactly the same, it's really hard to describe but it's like there's the feeling of an echo when you press the back, home, and end call buttons. It's very subtle but it's definitley there, like a spring vibrating in something hollow.

I'm probably just being really pedantic but I've got a few days in which I can swap it for another from my carrier so I want to be sure it's right now rather than find out later and have to deal with the manufacturer.

If you drop the phone on your palm from a distance of, say,
30 cm, or hold it in one hand and tap all over it with the other,
you should feel a slight vibration on each tap. I think it's the same
thing that the phone uses to vibrate. Whether it should be this
way, or whether it should be completely cushioned and only felt
when the phone activates it, I don't know. It is only a slight
vibration and I personally don't mind. Bit it's there.

Thanks, I don't mind it so long as I know I'm not the only one. You're right though it does feel related to the vibrarion. I notice it when i press these buttons that I'm hapring on about, although i don't really notice it if say my hand is covering the back of the phone.

    I second that.
I don't have any springiness to the keys, but I have noticed that a hard tap on the device will cause it to vibrate a bit. I too think that it's perfectly all right.

Read the messages, tested it, the vibration is there. Since other people (well...4 others) seem to have it, I'll assume it's normal.

I think I'm scaring myself here..

I was worried about my phone as well, but if others are having this issue too (hard tap = vibrate), then I guess I won't need to go and ask Samsung for a replacement.

    Glad I found this thread!
