OK, got an unlocked Backflip and tried to Import contacts.
Way #1: from Manage SIM
Error at contact #64
Way #2: (Directions from Motorola)
It imported all but 3 contacts out of 195.
Which 3 wouldn't import and why?
I found one of them. It has an apostrophie in the name. Yep, guy has an apostrophe in his name. Fails when you try to import just that contact.
Called Motorola. Motorola says some characters won't import, but you can use the SYM key on the keypad on the phone to manually enter the contact.
How do I find the contacts? The rep apologized. Basically can't.
Miserable experience.
1. Anyone know what characters are illegal in an IMPORT FROM SIM?
One is the apostrophe
2. Any ideas how to find? I have two (Remember, I have 195 entries)
2a: Binary search (Sort of tried)
2b: Try to extract contacts from SIM to .csv. Import to gmail and sync to phone (Haven't tried that yet)
