BASIC text note app which allows notes to be saved to a specific folder (for syncing)

I used to use AK Notepad (now dead) which was perfect for me. It had sync and you could open and edit a specific note quickly. I don't need all the bells and whistles of something like Evernote, it just gets in the way.

But I definitely need to sync. Built in is OK but would prefer just to be able to chose the location of a note so it can be synced with Dropbox or similar cloud storage.
