I was wandering in the X10 forums and went to the homescreen topic and saw this freeman2k homescreen had huge funny icons.. so I asked him and the kind guy told me how to do it... so here we go.. <AGAIN>


So.... If you want something like this...

Things you'll need..

• 
  [*]Desktop Visualizer (Attached)
  [*]Icon Image (PNG format)
  [*]Android Phone with Usb Cable (Optional lol )
  

Step One - Download&Install

Just download and install the attached file..

simple aint it??

Step Two - HOW TO :

By Now you must've installed the application..

now you need to add widget

Default Homescreen

Long Tap on any widget on your homescreen

Tap Add Widget on your homescreen

Other Homescreens

Press key menu
Tap Add
Tap Widgets

now select the various options that got availed after installing DESKTOP VISUALIZER

as you can see the first two images are the various sizes availble
(ofcourse you can resize later if you've ne other home screen application)

after selecting your prefered widget size you'll get the option shown in third image.

The Options

1. Select Icon
2. Select Action
3. Label
4. Label Color
5. Touch Effect

1. tap Select Icon and you'll get following options to select from

• Image File (you need to have png files on your phone)
• Application Icon (Gets you Icon from the installed apps on your phone)
• Icon Packs (Available in market)

2. tap Select Action and you'll get following options to select from

1. Launch Application (Select the Application you want as shortcut)
2. Others (Any other activity you want to add)
   

3. Label

Tap in the name you want for your shortcut

4. Label Color

Select the way you want your label to look like (obvious aint it lol)

5. Touch Effect

Select the color you want to be highlighted when you touch the widget

PRESS OK & YOUR DONE..

TIPS :

now if you've downloaded some icons and pushed them in your phone you don't want to see them in your gallery right???

jsut make any folder in your sdcard and place a dot before the folder name for eg. .icons

and push all those files in there

now when you tap SELECT ICON instead of using album image picker use your file manager (if you've installed any it will let you choose via the file manager)

Yes, it is nice I have tryied the Windows Mobile 7 Look but on such a small screen it does not look so well :/
