I don't think you need to block anything. OTA updates require you to approve them before they install, if I'm not mistaken. Just ignore the notifications.
I kinda thought that too but I wondered if that would for sure be the case once it's known that root was achieved. I noticed mention of OTA blocking in the Motodroid Root Forum but that may have been under different circumstances IDK.
I'm sure there will be a command that can be pushed to the phone via adb shell to disable ota updates. At least thats always happened to other rooted android phones in the past. Roms will also have it integrated.
As i stated in my above comment there will be a command you can push to your phone via adb shell that will disable the ota updates so you won't even need to decline them as that can be annoying to do on a daily basis.

This is what I originally had in mind. Figured there had to be some way to nix the annoyance. Not to mention a person could slip up and inadvertantly load one with a misplaced finger press.
