So, somebody on craigslist is selling a "brand new, never opened" VM Evo V for only $150.

This is clearly a stolen phone. its really not my concern how they got it though, cuz for $150 it's worth it.

Now my question is, will it still be able to activate if this guy/girl stole it straight from a store?

I'm guessing it'll be fine, because I used to work at Radio Shack until about a month ago, and when we sold VM phones, we'd activate them for the customer before even doing the transaction.

I just don't wanna waste $150 if it wont work.

First, knowingly buying stolen goods is a felony!

Second, if the phone was stolen directly from a vendor, the isn will probably not be "clean" and the phone will not activate.

Third, talk of theft is forbidden here, so this thread is closed.

My advice? Don't buy stolen goods...EVER!
