Add it to the phonebook/contacts list.

Then select "send to voicemail" as on.

Or you could answer the phone to them, ask how/where they got your number, and ask (tell) them to remove it from their database.

I used to get bombarded with calls every March/April from people "on behalf of orange" offering me upgrades, and asking them to remove my number was enough for the calls to stop.

You could always register with the phone preference service TPS Registration
Though it does depend on whether or not the company adheres to it.

Thanks for your answers, shame new phones don't have such simple things as older ones.

    Hi,

I signed up today so hope this is of use :)

I had a similar issue with calls, despite already signing up to TPS
On your handset, go to the Market and look for "CallFilter"

I've had it installed a while and it works fine, you add numbers to your phone book and then add then to CallFilter.
OK, your phone will still ring, once but it then goes straight to voicemail.
Not perfect but it's better than nothing, oh and it's free :)

On both my wife's Moment and my Hero the "send to voice mail" option doesn't actually send anything to voice mail, the calls still ring. I assume there's an issue with Sprint here or maybe with 1.2 because both phones do it. I have found an app that sort of does this, it answers the call then immediately ends the call, and you can send it to voice mail instead of the hanging up thing. It's called "CallFilter".
