Kind of a newbie question, but in this area I am a newbie .
I have a Verizon 3G account, and I'm looking to upgrade my tablet. I'm not that happy with the tablets Verizon offers, and am wondering if I can buy a tablet NOT from Verizon and use it on my account. Is there a quick way to determine if a tablet can be used on a 3G (or 4G, if I'm willing to pay more) line? Will Verizon know/care if I buy a device not from them.
For example, I really like the ASUS Prime, but I don't think it has 3G/4G capabilities.
Any tips on whether I can do this, and what I need to look for, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
