Can't Access Play Store

A business contact is having a problem with a tablet running 4.4.4. I have not seen it yet.

She can download files form other sites. The Play Store app will not allow her to do anything.

She has done a Factory Data Reset and also downloaded the latest version of Play Store.

Any ideas?

Clear data and cache on IIRC Downloads and Download manager would often kick start that (but FDR should have taken care of that)

Sorry, I'm trying to get actual package names, but wanted an answer in before the iminent site shutdown.

Two hours later we tried it to my Wi-Fi network and it did not fail.

She had replaced the Play Store app with the most current version and it didn't help. It is unclear if it had been updated before her last failure.

My guess is that it was either the old Play Store app OR she could have just done a reboot to clear a temporary problem.

This tablet is used a LOT for her kids to run games.

Go to the Application Manager and tap on the Clear Data, Clear Cache, and Force Stop button, and then open Play Store app on your phone. After that, log in with your credentials details. On the most cases, this trick will help you.

In this case it did not correct it, My GUESS is that it was some contamination from an errant game that was finally resolved when she did a reboot.
