Help Can't download to my SD card?

Hi guys just bought the LG eve. was downloading apps and stuff to my phone from the browser via wifi. Was working perfectly untill last night was trying to download a vid, but it says I dont have enough room and I should clear space on my phone? Well... I had an 8GB SD card in so this was weird. I checked available space it said 7.35GB? It seems from the browser it downloads to the internal memory? Any help?
