Help Can't purchase apps on my Epic

I had to wipe my phone so that I could get my calendar synched with my phone. The apps I bought previously were obviously wiped out. But since then I have not been able to "purchase" any apps. If an app is free, I can download it. But if I press "buy" I get a message that says

a server error has occured. retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen.

Does anyone know how to fix this--I really want to be able to re-purchase my "beautiful widgets" app.
