Can't sign into Gmail on Phone!

I ended up having to change my Gmail password as I couldn't remember what it was to sign in. I went through everything and changed it on my computer.

When I went to sign into it on my HTC Inspire, it said the password was wrong. I tried and tried and it still doesn't work. I went as far as to change the password AGAIN on my computer just to make sure it was right and it still doesn't not let me sign in! It says the password is incorrect...which makes no sense as I can sign into Gmail on my PC just fine.

How can I fix this? Its driving me crazy. I can't download or update apps so my phone is really pissing me off. Thanks.

Any chance you have 2-step verification turned on in your Google account? Read in the past that this could cause this problem.
