Captivate - "daily briefing" widget alternative

Hi all, I am looking for a widget similar to the stock "Daily Briefing" widget on my Captivate. I moved from touchwiz to LauncherPro and am not able to add the existing daily briefing widget on my screen (apparently it only works when Touchwiz is the home launcher).

Anything good out there?

What does the "Daily Briefing" widget do? I'm not familiar with it.

it is a widget that you can configure to show weather, news, as well as items from your calendar. here is a pic I found:

I'd like to know too. I devoted an entire screen to just the DailyBriefing widget. Now that I am running LauncherPro it seems I can no longer add this widget :/

Although I have my "Daily Briefing" to update the widget every 3 hours, I still have to do a manual refresh. Why?
