car holder and case

Hi all, my DHD arrives tomorrow, upgrade from Hero. I am looking at the official HTC car holder, does anyone have one, what are your opinions, is the phone stable with little or no vibration, is the camera obscured?

Secondly I am looking at one of the barely there cases, does the silver one scratch easy, also do they go on and off easy as I use the car holder a lot. I also see someone mentioned a black rubber barely there case, is it bulky, this sounds better than the hard case if the hard case scratches easy, your thoughts greatly appreciated.

Both are reasonably priced and both of pretty good quality, especially the case.
