CDMA Desire / Froyo

Anyone had any luck yet with a CDMA Froyo update, official or not?

Any word whatsoever on any work being done towards such a release?

I dread the idea of having to wait 6+ months for Cell South to get and release the Froyo update -.- that, and...

One of the main reasons I was so psyched about getting my Desire was the infinite modibility of it... forgetting that it was CDMA, and %80+ of the world uses GSM, so my options are now looking more than limited into the forseeable future. Any bright spots to hope for?

You could always root it but I really do not know of any CDMA rom's out there but then again I have not looked, if I were you I would Google around for custom Cdma roms for the Desire and see if it would be worth rooting the phone, but remember anything you do will more than likely void the warranty on the phone!!!!
