Droid deleted all text message threads

My unrooted droid on 2.1 deleted all my text message threads in the stock messaging app even the locked ones. What I don't get is ALL the picture messages are gone but the dialer storage is 10.6 mb. What the heck? It should be almost zero. Can anyone help me? I'm really pissed. Thanks

Happens to me all the time. Am also looking for a fix :/ For now I recommend wave secure. It backs ups your contacts/call logs/texts once a day automatically and it really comes in handy for when this happens

this is about the 30th topic started about this problem. (at least)

I was having a good run until this past Wednesday... I think the droid is afraid I'm going to drunk txt at the club or something... I'm always good

I've been looking all over for a fix for this. The same thing happened to me except my dialer storage is 98.5 mb. Its been bad, I've had to uninstall some of my apps just so I have room to receive txts again.
