I went to my local corporate Verizon store today to check out the dummy droid X phone and ask a few questions. They say they are not worried about having enough phones, they say they don't have enough of the extras:

screen protectors and such.
They only received about 15 of each. You can buy that stuff now since it is in inventory. I got mine today, now I am just waiting for the phone on Thursday.
