Help Emoticons in 4.3

Hi!
I just updated to android 4.3 and was so excited. But where are the emoji's? I thought I would have emoji's that I could use everywhere when I got the update but I can't find them. I don't want to install an app, I just want to find the emoji's I've seen other people have when they got android 4.3.

I believe the emojis are part of an app they are using. Handcent SMS has an emoji add on & SwiftKey keyboard is currently testing a version of their keyboard with emojis. Also, if you use Google Hangouts there are emojis in there as well. But to the best of my knowledge there are none by default.

But I've seen it on a Galaxy s4 with jellybean 4.3. Maybe the galaxy s3 won't get it? I downloaded iii keyboard, it works ok.
