Samsung's 2nd update has started to roll out for the Fold5 international devices, F946B. bringing with it the September Security patch.

Build number = F946BXXS1AWI4 (non European F946B)

It is a FOTA, (Firmware Over The Air), update and you can check... Settings > Software update... to see if it is available for you. Alternatively, you can connect to the Samsung PC suite, Smart Switch and check via that.

It would seem, unusually, that Samsung has issued 2 different updates for the September release on their international Fold5 devices, F946B.

One appears to be for European CSC codes and is F946BXXU1AWI3 and includes the September security patch and undisclosed changes.

The non European devices are receiving build F946BXXS1AWI4 and is just the September security patch.

The only difference I have been able to detect between the European AWI3 update for the international Fold 5 devices, F946B, is that the baseband/modem has been updated to AWI3 along with the firmware and the non European devices have an older baseband/modem of AWG3. Compare screenshots in post #1 and below.

The September update is now rolling out for the unlocked USA devices, F946U1, with firmware F946U1UES1AWI1 for T-Mobile (USA).

It would appear that the September update is also rolling out in the USA to unlocked users, F946U1, on Verizon, also.

Looks like AT&T are the first on their locked devices, F946U, to release the September update, F946USQS1AWI1.

[EDIT] Closely followed by T-Mobile (USA) and Metro PCS.

At last!

After 8 days since the release of the September update on the European release, Samsung have begun to push out the carrier branded September firmware for the U.K..

First of these is for EE carrier branded devices on CSC code EVR. See post #1 to see how to check if it is available for you.

All Canadian Fold5's, F946W, have now received the September update, F946WVLS1AWI1.
