Force close when tryin to attach pic

i was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue, ive already factory resetted my phone and even downloaded the handcent sms app to see if it was just the factore sms messaging app. so everytime i try to attach a picture to a message, or set the backround for my txt screen it ALWAYS force closes. It says, "The precess androind.process.media has stopped..." anyone ran through this and figured out the problem yet??? its real frustrating paying for mms and not even have it work!
