Free Skype and MSN

Just wondering if anyone can help me here. I have a Android phone on 3 (Spica to be precise). I know we get free Skype and MSN, but the versions they supply on the My3 website are really out dated crappy versions. Does anyone know if we use the actual official latest version if they're still free or is it only their old versions? I also noticed their version of Skype doesn't support Wifi access, where as the official one does. Anyone know if the official Skype and MSN still count as free to use then?

The ones 3 use are official versions just slightly modified so as to be free to use on 3. Other versions, like on android market, won't be free.
