Help Froyo Apps To SD option

This may be a dumb question but, If I move an app to the sd card through froyo like say Homerun Baseball 3D, and then do a factory data reset, will I have to reinstall the game and lose all my achievements or will it be on the SD card and untouched?

I did a factory reset after installing Froyo and installing apps to my SDCard and I did have to reinstall them after the reset but it kept most of the settings once I did.

how about achievements such as unlocked maps, or high scores, etc.

Exactly. An app is never 100% moved to the SD Card, so after wiping you definitely need to reinstall it. However, the data for that app that was on the SD card will be saved, and most likely not overwritten during the re-install.

I don't know about the achievements or unlocked maps, i'm not a game player and don't install games on my phone.

menu, settings, applications, manage applications, select the application and select move to sd

But certain apps won't let you move them to the card, right? At least that's been my experience...

how about APK files that are on my SD card? Will they be available to re-install if I do a factory reset? Sorry to be so coy, but I have a kick-ass version of Swype I really don't want to part with....

Yeah not all apps can move, they have to be allowed, if they are allowed, like "Google Sky Map" then yes, if you cant move them, you got a problem haha.

You can install apk apps from Astro and backup swype too!

on this topic, if your APK is on an sd card, why is everyone having so many problems with their swype? Is it because it was on their internal storage and not an sd card? And as for the "Swype Installer" do I really need it, since I will just be installing the APK from the SD card?
