Help galaxy s slow and hangs after updating to 2.2

froyo update rolled out for galaxy s a couple of days back in india.I upgraded the firmware using kies but after doing that my phone became worse.it hangs for a second and is slow and lags.Please help.One thing i noticed is there is no administrator for my phone in settings and i cant add it can tht be a problem

You should perform a factory reset after updating firmware. You'll notice a vast improvement.

im having to do it about every 4 weeks as the lag starts getting worser

what happens after factory reset ...do all my applications are removed??????

You will loose your apps on the rom, but all the items stored on the SD will not be lost.

But I guess that the apps can be moved to the SD card before the reset to factory settings right?

Not all apps can be moved to the SD card, and I have problem moving them to the internal SD, you have to use I think an external one. You can use something like Titanium Backup to backup your apps to the SD and then restore them when you are done. (You need to be rooted for this to work).
