"General IP Address" added to account?

In going through the online order process today, I noticed this on the "Review Changes" page. Listed as a new feature is "General IP Address" as a no charge addition. Anyone know what this is for? Tethering??? WiFi Hotspot??? Usage tracking???

I have a WinMo smartphone and this "feature" isn't listed for my current plan. Just seems like an odd feature to be listed.

It's just for data. They don't do it on BlackBerry because they go through RIM's data centers. Not sure about WinMo devices not having it.
