gps widget vs use gps satellites option

Hi guys, noob here. I cant seem to understand the difference between the gps activated through the power widget and the use gps satellites option in the location menu. It seems like activating/turning off one does not activate/turn off the other so they must serve different purposes... Can someone enlighten me? Thanks!

It is the same tho. Just turn both off and toggle it with the widget, then check your settings. Use gps sattelites should be checked now.

Maybe the power bar widget is just slow to update it, I use extended controls widget and when I toggle my gps on in settings it also shows on the widget.

Thank you! Was thinking they were the same, but thanks for the confirmation. Maybe they are just slow to sync then...
