Root [GUIDE] Root Huawei Mercury Without a Computer

Thanks to dazeone at Cricketusers for the tip. :congrats:

I thought the days of rooting with an app were over, but this works like a charm.

1. Download poot-debug.apk. Google it, or this link is working as of now.

2.When you open Poot, it will prompt you to download Ministro as well, go ahead and download superuser while you're at it.

3. Run Poot and reboot phone. It worked so fast I didn't think it did anything, but I can confirm this works.

4.Enjoy your rooted Mercury!

I went ahead and added this to the All things root guide.

I have a quick question. I used this method and it works perfectly!!! I only removed those extra games from bloatware and the my account useless app. Did I need those games for the flash player? Cause now Adobe Flash player keeps getting an error message.

I deleted that stuff without having a problem. you could try clearing cache and data from the Flash app and maybe a reboot.
