Help for new user

Hi - I just got my Hero - unlocked, it is an SEA model. I am in the US on ATT.
- is there a way to get the Android Apps Market widget on my Hero, it came with SlideME
- is there a way of choosing English as a language besides the Vietnamese, Malaysian or Indonesian choices?
- how does one remove a widget or shortcut that was added to a screen?
- any other helpful hints would be great - I am on ATT but have used unlocked phones for years, esp Nokia, this is my first Android and so far this OS seems terrific and has a lot less steps than one needs to do something with Symbian

To remove a widget, just press and hold on the widget until it changes color, then drag it into the Remove button at the bottom of the screen.
