Apps How do I add 3rd party update function

sorry for the newb question...

I've built a small app, but I'd like to add an update function to it.
I found one here:

I'm not exactly sure how to add it. Do I drop the UpdateChecker
folder inside my project somewhere?

I followed the instructions in his API 2 integration guide, but it
made no mention of the UpdateChecker folder, or its contents.

I ended up updating my files with the data from his files and ended up getting error: UpdateChecker cannot be resolved to a type

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
