Help How do I get all my contacts the same?

As near as I can figure I have three contact lists. One on my phone, there is another contact list on my Gmail and there is a third list on "Google Contacts". The all appear to be different. I want one list. I can't pull up my Gmail contacts on the computer because that locks the screen,(which is a completly different matter) but there are contacts on the Gmail contact list that are not appearing on my "Google Contacts" or phone contact list. How do I get all three list the same? Also what is the difference between "Google Contacts" and "Gmail Contacts" anyway? If anyone can help I sure would appriciate it. Thanks
