How do you filter curse words in text app?

I'm new here and inquiring how to block SMS curse words on my Samsung Galaxy Core running KitKat. Thanks

My Swype keyboard app has the option to turn enable/disable curse-words. It stars them out when blocked, like "F*** you".

You might want to go into your keyboard settings and see if there's an option.

There is Swype settings but nothing to do with curse words.

I don't use Swype, but I had to ADD cursewords to my directory. I use Super Keyboard Pro. Bought it a while ago.

Depends exactly on what you want. The examples given are for filtering curse words from the suggestions of the keyboard. Swype in your case is the inbuilt one? That's not the latest version with curse words filtering. You have to download Swype from the Play Store. Some reports say that turning on the swear words filter in S Voice and Google Voice Typing affects the keyboards and blocks swear words too.

If you refer to blocking the receiving of SMS with curse words, simply add them to Spam Phrases and activate Spam Detection so messages with curse words are blocked.
