I got my Galaxy S I9000 yesterday and after playing with it for a while, I managed to hook up to my wireless network at home which is working fine. But I want to make sure that when there is no Wi-Fi network available, the phone does not go automatically to 3G since I can not do data transfer through my service provider (it is enabled but I need to avoid it).

Can you help me with the settings to ensure I can achieve that configuration?

Thanks in advance for the help!

hi there, i also use my home modem, however i have an unlimited data plan so i'm ok, if you want to make sure the phone doesnt automatically revert to 3G when no wifi is present download an app called APN from the market, you can put a widget on one of your homescreens that allows you to turn 3G on and off.
