How to get around the size limit on memos?

I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 and I love it.

However, I have several Memos that I wrote with my old blackberry and that I want to import into the Galaxy, through Outlook synchronization. The problem is that some of those memos have more than 1500 characters, which seems to be the max size for the default Android memo app.

Is there a way around that problem?
