Root How to: Root the DROID X Using Universal Androot

I have rooted my Droid X this way. Once I upgrade to 2.2 will I still be rooted or will it take it away?

I can confirm that 2.2 disables root. At this point, I'm not sure whether I should unroot before trying to re-root (just in case it wasn't completely unrooted or something...) or if I should just directly try to re-root. I still have the super-user app but wireless tether is not working. I'm not sure if 2.2 was supposed to actually delete the super-user app (that's why I'm not sure if I should manually unroot to make sure it is unrooted before re-rooting).
Any advice?
