Help How to Skip Songs on music player

So...I love the samsung andriod phone but someone please tell me there is a way to skip songs while the screen is locked. I know my BBerry would advance songs by holding the "up" volume toggle for a few seconds but that doesnt seem to work. There has got to be a way that doesnt involve me unlocking my phone each time i dislike the song! Help greatly appreciated!!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but I dont think there is. At least I haven't found it nor am I sure that any 3rd party music app enables skipping from the volume rocker on the galaxy s

well you can show your unlock screen ; WITHOUT unlocking it you should see a cd @ the top of the screen & pull down ?

Right, but the OP is referring to advancing songs not via the touch screen e.g. some kinda hardware button and that is not possible it seems
