So I purchased an HTC Evo View 4G through Spring last year. I won't turn on so I tried to get warranty service. Spring does not print the MEID or the serial number on the receipt for tablets. Without the receipt, HTC will not provide service for the device.
No problems. I called Sprint and since they could not provide the receipt, the sprint representative called HTC directly to provide the order details. Guess what...HTC did not care and will not provide service for my device.
Well, it is an expensive lesson but good to know as I moved to a Samsung Galaxy S3 and a Samsung Note 8.0 (tomorrow).
