I came from and iPhone and I have to say Android is much better as you have more info on the screen and it is not only icons.

But the hero is the phone I have had for less time and after 9 month I decided to move on.

My usage is mainly for business so I find difficult:

    - screen keyboard
    - short battery life
    - too many steps to do simple sings
    - slow response
    - poor quality call sound

Based on this I have decided to go back to basics and have gone to a Blackberry 9300. Half the price of other Android phone, faster to use and better battery life. So far so good.

I have to say that I also was feed up with all the 2.1 upgrade delays. Hardware fragmentation is big issue for Andoid.

Wave is unlikely to regret it when he's moved to the BB for the specific reasons stated. It's obviously not a spur-of-the-moment decision. ;)

For email and business use blackberry is still the best thing out there, hands down. Personally i wouldve waited 6 months to see what WP7 brings to the game - if MS get it right they could dominate the business end of the market.

I've never understood why people feel the need to announce such things.

I must admit I have been fairly disappointed with my Hero's sluggishness, but especially since my girlfriend got a Desire yesterday... Wow that phone is fast.
