IMAP capability on EVO with Froyo

I have a specific question on the IMAP capability on an HTC Evo with Froyo 2.2 on it. I have never used Android but am considering a switch. I have 2 different IMAP accounts. In order to use the SMTP servers associated with these accounts, I have to use authenticated SMTP. However, for 1 account, the SMTP username and password is the same as the IMAP username and password. For the other account, the SMTP username and password is different than the IMAP username and password.

Does the native Mail application, or any 3rd party IMAP solutions permit the use of a username and password for the SMTP server that is different than the username and password for the IMAP server?
