internal memory doesn't refresh

Hi,

I deleted the .thumbnails directory of 2 gigs, and did the trick of adding a .thumbnails file to keep it from recreating, but after deleting the 2 gigs, my space available program is not showing my internal free memory has increased by that 2 gigs.

Is there some way this needs to be refreshed, or am I missing something?

triggering a media scan might help.
there are several ways to do this.

media scanner apps can rebuild your entire media database, but this is overkill.
reboot your phone(quick and simple)
plug your phone into your pc, wait a minute, and unplug it.
and possibly removing and reinserting the memory card.

Thanks. Actually did use a scan app and still didn't solve it, so there must be something else going on. 2 gigs disappeared!
