If you use adfree the ads are still there, you just cant see them, is that correct?
I'm not rooted, so I don't know, but If it's blocked, I'm not sure if the dev gets paid for them or not.

If we want better apps, we need to become the type of community that supports the folks who make the apps.
I don't think iPhone users are any more loyal; there is advantages in numbers, and it appears the iPhone ad money generation process is a bit more polished.
Still, it looks like ad placement is the future. We can help build the brand by encouraging app development.
Of course advertisers pay more for ads on iPhone apps... It is simple economics since owners of iPhones have already shown their propensity to like whatever marketers tell them to like.
its the same for music and gaming just as droid market, if the dev deserves the money, if you use his product, do something to return the favor. if you cant afford to buy apps deal with adds, if he can get revenue thats more money and time he can put twords bettering his apps or release a new one.
