Ahh well my phone is off to LG tomorrow, tried the update from PC Suite IV and ended up in "Emergency Mode!!" T-Mobile had never heard of it. It wouldn't do anything and the PC didn't recognise that it was connected. The hard reset options didn't work and LG Support, who were very good, basically said its under warranty so send it in and we'll sort it.
So, a week or 2 (hopefully not more) back on a crap phone and my iPaq, while I wait.
