Lg mlt?

Hi, I recently got ICS, rooted, somehow broke it, and revitalized it. I am just wondering if anyone here has been getting some sort of window poping up every time you turn on the phone, saying "LG MLT has stopped working", either rooted or not. I can only remember it poping up after I rooted the phone. Strange thing is, even after a hard factory reset and a reflash of the .cab, this thing is still popping up.

Anyone got an idea as to what LG MLT is, and if this is something I should be concerned with? Google gave me vague answers, saying that MLT is a sort of system process that does logs or something. I want to get this issue resolved, or at least clarified, before I re-root it and do the bootloader thing.

I'll see if I can get a logcat...

Ok, i think this is some relevant info I pulled from the logcat.

I'm getting it too... I'm not sure if it started after ICS update or after root - I was soo tired last night when I took the plunge. I guess I'm just saying you're not the only one with that message since I can't help determine what caused it at all. It doesn't seem to cause any problem though... at least not for me.

I froze that MLT thing before... only after I did, I somehow could not turn on the phone after it was drained of battery, having it get stuck on LG, where I had to flash a .cab and such. Maybe it was unrelated to the MLT, and related to the fail rooting. idk.

Mlt is a management tool for the lg roms,at least that's what my search online found. You can freeze it with no problems, but I wouldn't remove it.

Well, I am getting the same popup message "LG MLT has stopped. I haven't done anything with the root stuff since I just found out about it today. I assume it is to get into the actual phones directory and then fiddle with its files that tell the phone what to do on start up and such?. Any how I am also having a problem with my LG Spectrum trying to do an Update. It did the update a few months back and I had all sorts of problems that Verizon finally sent me another phone. So it has 4.0.4 That is the current version info. Firmware version: VS920ZV7, Android system image: 4.0.4.
In Info it tells me Update status: Failed update, Last activity at 06:17:58 08 Apr 2013 MDT Reason code: 410

    Any ideas?

When I check for updates it tells me New Software available. Size 73.1 MB, When I begin the download it goes to 100% then ask if I want to install it or something like that and when I do it does the shut off phone and then restarts and the little green Android guy has a little action going on in his belly. It only gets about an eighth to a quarter done and the poor fellow falls over with a yellow Triangle over his belly with a ! on it and tells me the update failed.

I noticed it was doing this on its own the last few nights as I'd wake up and find that the phone had restarted its self and also all my settings were off.

So there I am. Sorry if it is too much or not enough.

It's an app built into the stock rom to help the rom perform better... So LG says.

You can freeze it and even uninstall it (I recommend freezing) with our adverse effects. I speak from months of use with the app frozen.
