MK802 vs Pocket tv?

Ive been doing some research on the MK802 (Black MINI ANDROID 4.0 PC 1GB DDR3 4GB ROM A10 HDMI WIFI GOOGLE TV BOX MK802 | eBay) and pocket tv (The Pocket TV: Makes any TV a Smart TV by Infinitec — Kickstarter) and the pocket tv seems kind of like a scam.

As far as I can tell the only difference is the MK802 has a faster processor with A8 vs A9 and the Pocket tv comes with an IR remote. I don't see why you would purchase the pocket tv? Anyone have insight on this?
