Mobile data disconnects when call is in progress

New to posting on this forum but have used it for help in the past. I just got a new Samsung S4 and so far so good. But I noticed today that when I receive a call or make a call my mobile data shuts down. This prevents any access to the internet duringthe call. Why is this doing this and what is the fix. There has to be a reason. Thanks in advance.

Methinks that is something controlled by the carrier.
