Whenever I receive SMS messages from an unknown contact (usually junk mail and advertisements), my HTC Desire tells me the message comes from one of my Facebook friends. It's always the same 'friend'.

This Facebook friend is not a real phone contact: I don't have his phone number or email in my phone. But all SMS's which are not from one of my existing phone contacts all look like they're from him.

    Any helpful thoughts or ideas?

In his Facebook profile he will have his phone number listed as "ask me..." or some other words (not a number) this is a bug with the FB contact sync on the Desire. I turned off the FB contact sync in the end because there are a few bugs like this.

The friend has a phone number, but it's a legitimate number. It seems a shame to break the Facebook link over a couple of bugs. Does anyone know a way around this?
