I use Seesmic for twitter updates and I use Peep to sync FriendStream. I like FS and like having latest Facebook and Twitter updates on my desktop, but I prefer Tweeting with Seesmic.
While I had Seesmic set to manual updates, recently I turned auto updates for every 2nd hour. Now both Peep and Seesmic update every 2 hours, one to feed FriendStream and the other to have latest tweets when I start the app (and also for it's widget).
Now, even if each app would eat 1% battery power (and I don't think it does) - it would only eat around 24% for the whole day. More likely this will eat 10% each day, which is almost unnoticeable if you charge every night. Right? Most people here are obsessed with squeezing every last bit of battery power, but what's the use of having an android and being offline?
What do you guys think? Is having two twitter apps syncing every two hours overkill? Or is it ok? Different thoughts on this issue, would love to hear yours. Thanks.
