    hey unlockr.

First of all thanks for the videos. It was a big help in my first ever root today.

I have one suggestion though. Since roms like superD and cyanogen are legal roms and require DRC83 or similar to be flashed before the rom itself. Please add the procedure to install that in your video or your post.

What is the point of unrooting after rooting?

Just root the phone and install any rom which is made for your phone.

Does it matter what size of memory card you have in your mytouch to run the rom smoothly? I have 1gb, but thinking of getting 16gb sdhc card.

No, the size doesn't have anything to do with it, the class of the card does. If you're buying a new card, make sure it's a Class 6. (If it doesn't explicitly say the class, it's a Class 2.)

^^I wish i knew this before ordering a class 2 16 gb sd card. Is it really that bad? Why is having a class 6 enhance performance?

The read/write speed is faster, so the phone finishes those tasks faster.

That only applies to apps that read from or write to the sdcard, so it's not always gonna make a difference. Loading pictures, music, and such being the most notable examples.

Class 6 cards are getting cheaper (my 8gb was $20), but if you already have a 16gb ordered I wouldn't get too worked up about it.

So formatting the sd card to fat32 is not needed?

No, it is needed. If it's in your phone already and working, it's already formatted. If you get a new card, be sure to format it.
