New family of Android Users

Just a few days ago switched to Sprint and got three LG Optimus S phones. The teenager is in love with hers while we are slowly pushing ahead. Overall I like it more and more as I get used to it. Only one thing annoys me so far: some apps tend to stay in the background and suck up the battery.

Get systempanel from the market, it keeps track of whats running and tells you how much cpu they are using

BTW: apps in RAM don't waste battery at all! (in a sadistic twist, it actually saves battery)
the one disadvantage of smartphones is battery use, you use them way too much!

I think one of the applications got stuck and kept the data connection open. After rebooting my phone has been up for over a day and the battery is still >80%. I am loving it.
